Grant Dresnok
Grant Dresnok comes from Cumberland, Maine, and now makes his home in Johnson City, Tennessee. Grant is a Senior at East Tennessee State University where he studies business management with a minor in Bluegrass, Old Time, and Roots Music. Having grown up with a guitar in his hands since age five, he was always exploring his musical identity, falling in love with bluegrass and jazz. Before graduating from high school, Grant Released his debut EP, titled Kicking it Off featuring original material and covers. In 2022 he formed a band with fellow classmates, Pythagoras. In the fall of 2024, Pythagoras released their debut album Theorem.
Grant has graced stages up and down the East Coast, playing festivals, listening rooms, weddings, and in May 2024, toured Ireland for two weeks with Pythagoras. In 2023, Grant was awarded the prestigious Bill Vernon Scholarship through Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival. At school, Grant studies guitar under the instruction of Wyatt Rice and Trey Hensley. From 2022-2023, Grant was a guitar and band instructor for Junior Appalachian Musicians.
Between classes, studying, and band rehearsals, Grant loves to spend his time hiking, picking with friends, and with his family and two pups back home in Maine.
Lexi Wagnitz
Lexi Wagnitz is a Plaistow, New Hampshire native and has a diverse musical background. Her extensive experience in improv and musical theater provides Lexi with a sparkling stage presence, as well as skill in confidently singing complex harmonies. Her solid bass playing keeps everyone in line and adds dimension to the band’s sound. Some of her favorite current artists include East Nash Grass and A.J. Lee & Blue Summit. Lexi is also an avid old-time fiddler.
Joe Henson
Joe Henson from Kennesaw, GA keeps the band on track with his sharp chop and timely fills. Some of Joe's mandolin heroes include Adam Steffey, David Grisman, and Doyle Lawson. Joe's picking is smooth and clean, and he enjoys pushing the boundaries of his playing. Joe’s passion for music theory brings sophistication and purpose to our original arrangements. His vocals are strong and his spot-on harmonies add another layer to the band's sound.
Gracie Mae Grossman
Gracie Mae Grossman’s fiddle playing elevates the band when she bears down on her bow and she comes from Indianapolis, Indiana. Gracie has a deep love for traditional country and bluegrass, but is moved by and loves many other genres. Some of her favorite artists right now are the Johnson Mountain Boys, the Grateful Dead and Connie Smith.
Gabriel Hebert
Gabriel was born and raised in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. He grew up in and around the East Coast Canadian bluegrass scene, and started playing the banjo when he was 12 years old. He instantly fell in love with banjo’s sound and history. From a young age, Gabriel has gathered inspiration from many artists including Dailey & Vincent, The Bluegrass Album Band, Flatt & Scruggs and Lonesome River band. Gabriel recorded his first album at the age of 16 and became fascinated with the studio setting, which grew his love for the music even more.
